Shut down/restart the PC even if you aren't there.

If you think that shutting down the PC needs you in front of it, then you're quite wrong. You can leave it programmed to shut down the PC a long time in advance. For this you just need a tool like RebootEx.

RebootEx is a system that lets you, in a totally automatic way, shut down, restart or change the active user login for another. You can also configure it to suspend the PC for the user who is using it at that precise moment.

RebootEx is especially designed for use in LANs with a lot of PCs. Also, you can run it from the Windows command line.
